After a week of doubtful weather forecasts our Sunday morning dawned sunny and bright.
Assembled at the starting point were 2 Focus RS of Greg (and passengers) and Michael, and 3 Mk 1 Escorts of John & Mandy in their Mexico, Stephen in his RS2000, and Mark, also in a Mexico.
Joining the touring assembly in beautiful Lithgow were the immaculate and original RS500 Sierra of Scott, and the trusty Mk 2 Cortina of Neale, who was also our photographer par excellence and who, being a Bathurst local, had made arrangements for our lunch at the excellent Schnitzel Bar in town.
After an uneventful trip the group naturally headed to Mount Panorama for the obligatory laps and to have Neale wield his camera to very good effect, as can be seen in the attached photographs.
Many thanks to Neale for his hard work.
Following our foray to the mount, we headed back to the town for a really excellent lunch at the Schnitzel Bar, being very glad that Neale had booked a table in advance – it seems that a good spot to eat will always draw the crowds.
Thank you to all who attended, and thanks again to Neale for the pics and the luncheon arrangements (sure beats a quick burger at Maccas), for helping to make another good day out for the RSOC.
