Several members entered their small Fords in today’s Supersprint at Sydney Motorsport Park which was organised by the Southern Sporting Car Club.
A good day was had by all – spectators and drivers – with Simon Grierson in his Mk1 RS2000 proving quickest on the day of the RSOC contingent, with Brett Shields and Mark Hockey, who were sharing the driving in Brett’s newly acquired Mk 1 Mexico replica somewhat outgunned – it was good to see Simon being able to pull out and overtake the latter pair at will as soon as a straight was sighted. There is still no replacement for displacement (added to Simon’s undoubted skills behind the wheel) !
All of the trio improved their times on each run, and reported a great day’s entertainment.
